Building Billie: Major Milestones on the Road to Launch

A few months ago, Billie was an idea, a whiteboard, and a conviction that people deserve to access, understand, monitor, and improve the public records that increasingly shape their lives.

Recently, we've taken major steps toward bringing that vision to life.

We've hit several important milestones:

✅ Welcomed Yakiry Malena Adal, NBC-HWC, (she/her/ella) as Head of Operations, bringing nearly two decades of leadership and operational experience to help scale Billie.

✅ Finalized our engineering partnership with ZealousWeb and officially kicked off the technical discovery and MVP build process.

✅ Completed the foundational product architecture, Legal Wellness Score methodology, data strategy, and other materials to guide development.

✅ Grew the Billie Rolodex, our marketplace of service providers, to include nation-wide law firms, reputable solo practices, and esteemed practitioners.

✅ Continued growing our early community of supporters, advisors, investors, and future users who believe legal wellness should be as accessible as financial wellness.

There is still an incredible amount of work ahead.

We're moving deliberately because trust is the product. Every decision—from privacy and security to product design and compliance—is being made with the goal of building something people can rely on.

One more exciting milestone: we've officially opened our pre-seed fundraising round to accelerate development, expand our data partnerships, and bring Billie to market. It's an exciting next chapter, and I'm looking forward to partnering with investors who share our vision for making legal wellness accessible to everyone.

One thing this journey has taught me is that no one builds a company alone.
I'm fortunate to be surrounded by an extraordinary network of family, friends, mentors, advisors, colleagues, early supporters, and future investors who have shared their expertise, challenged my thinking, made introductions, and believed in Billie long before there was a product.
